Mini rant
02.29.08 (8:31 pm)   [edit]
Okay, I now beleive that myspace sucks monkey nuts. Seriously it does. You can't veiw, send msgs, or even friend invites to half the interesting people there cause they say only friends can. Well how the heck can you become a friend if you cant veiw their page or send them a msg. I mean geez-o-peets people. And half of their groups and formums (sp i dont care im on a rant) are private and you can't get in touch with anyone to join them. Like I said.. myspace sucks monkey nuts. I'm so happy that tblog is not so anal....

A lesson about Demons
02.29.08 (5:59 pm)   [edit]
Mediaeval demonologists and sorcers believed that a demon could be summoned by the "black arts" and sent out to do their bidding. This is actually a thought form and not a demon as such. A thought form is a deliberately created thought that embodies the feelings, attributes and characteristics that a magician requires in order to acheive a particular result. A thought form can be so powerful that it can sometimes actually be seen by other people as a shadowy moving shape. It is an extension of the magician's own mind. In the Bible a demon was a doubt, temptation, a sudden impulse, or a way to take the easy way out. That being said, the home of a demon is within the human mind and nowhere else. Wiccans are accused of being devil worshippers but it is hard to worship something that you do not beleive in. Historical facts are that the word hell does not originate in the Bible or anthing else connected with Judeo-Christian roots. It actually comes from the Vikings, Danes, and other Scandinavian people who shared their beliefs during the Anglo-Saxon period in England. Hel was the name of the Queen of the Dead in Viking myth. The word became associated with her realm which was a place of peace and tranquillity. Early Biblical texts used this name with and extra "l" added as a supposedly suitable English word to replace the Judiac Gehenna ( the valley of Hinnom). This was history's first recorded "city dump", based outside Jerusalem. this was expanded in religious beleif to become a suitable dump for any humans who were thought of as "spiritual refuse". In Wiccan belief, our devils/demons are part of us and not a supernatural exterior entity. They are our own weaknesses and negative qualities. We all have them. In some shape or form we are all possessed by demons of some sort ( so when someone says your acting possed you can say with a smile, "why yes I am."). It was the mediaeval beleif that in order to banish a demon you had first to discover its name. Naming the demon would imprison it in the physical world. It could no longer lurk in the shadows and cause mischief. The same principle applies today. If you feel possed or haunted by something, write it down and then work to over come it. Thus over coming your demons. thanks to ms. morningstar
